My experience with Beaverton Toyota, involves their service dept. After I have my oil changed... I received a report from their service department that my struts were absolutely shot, and needed replacement.
There were other things that they mentioned that needed attention, work and replaced.
The main focus was my struts and brakes.
The tech bragged about how he had 13 years of experience, and he was a "certified" mechanic.
I took my Toyota, to a trusted Mechanic, who looked over my vehicle and stated that I had at least 40% left on brakes... And by the way... There is nothing wrong with your struts... They were loose... So we just tightened them and they are in excellent condition.
I asked... How come there is such a big wide discrepancy in your diagnosis compared with the Dealership, I used to trust?
My trusted mechanic, told me, that service advisers and techs at Dealerships are on a quota system and often engage in selling "fear".
I tried to address this issue with the Service Manager... But it really seemed to fall on deaf ears.
Stay away from This dealership... I really don't believe they have your best interest at heart whatsoever.
