Back in 2006 I went to purchase a new truck. Well everything went ok the first time. I had a signed contract new Truck and I was off to Ohio in it. Well I went to Chicago then down to Dallas and off to Atlanta in a span of a month. Well that racked some miles on it. I was sent to L.A. For a year I drove my saturn out there.
While I was out there I get a phone from the the GM of the dealer Saying I needed to return the truck. Luckily I didn't drive it to California. So iasked why He told me that wells Fargo didn't want to do the deal. I told him I have a sign contract and it was supposed to be a done deal I told him ok the truck would be there in a couple of days. So I had a friend drive it up there and drop it off and pick up my trade in and take it home.
The next Time I heard from Baytown Ford they Asked me why they didn't put me in a new vehicle. They told me to come back in, I told them when I get back in town I would come and speak to them. So I did, I found and 03 Ford f-150 I was again told financing would be no problem. I drove the truck home that night. The next morning I went back up there to sign the papers. I sat and sat. The the GM came out and told me there was a problem. Wells Fargo wanted to do the deal but with a 5,000 fee attached. I got on the phone with wells fargo and told where to stick it, and walked out.
I don't blame Baytown Ford too much the bent over backwards to help me. But they need to be more careful of the deals they make Wells Fargo is who I blame the most. This has taught me a lesson I will never set foot in there again and never buy from a dealer. I'm still driving the trade in. When I do go buy another vehicle I will go to a Mom And Pop type of carlot
