Low Book Sales
Bait-and-Switch

Traditional Trap-and-Change, and with a well known dealer

Low Book Sales listings vehicles about the biggest group classifieds site, kslcars.com, for really low costs, after which changes the cost about the customer once theyare currently involved. It's obviously a try to attract clients into purchasing a more costly automobile. Its objective would be to get clients in the future into the dealer by WRONGLY marketing the automobile in a "unique low cost", then once theyare involved and prepared to invest their cash, let them know it had been an error and also the automobile is clearly a lot more costly.

I publish my own personal knowledge as proof. Recently (November 21st) I visited Low Book Income to determine a 2003 Mercury Sable which at that time was outlined on KSL Vehicles for $2,219. The salesman *confirmed* the reduced cost in the dealer, informing me the automobile was among an "over abundance of trade ins" these were "attempting to sell" as rapidly as you can. Bob — the salesman I talked with — stated they'd discounted the automobile to only $800 over their price simply because they were looking to get gone it. I-test went the vehicle, and we decided I'd return 24 hours later (it had been too late at night to get a correct examination) which I'd probably buy the vehicle.

Today I called him at 1:00pm and he established he was wanting me at 3:00. I turned up in the planned period. Bob wasn't there. The supervisor had another salesman come and talk to me concerning the Mercury. He explained the cost was a "error" produced by whoever posted the advertisement, which the automobile was really said to be outlined for $6,400. (Later within the same discussion he attributed KSL Vehicles for that misprint in cost.) He stated that Reduced Book Income NEVER offers an automobile for less than $6000 (despite the fact that a fast research on KSL Vehicles may expose many automobiles within the $3000-5000 range). He also stated they'd updated the advertisement on KSL Vehicles using the proper purchase value.

I had been clearly annoyed, and quit the dealer. Today, I continued to KSL Vehicles and looked up the advertisement again. I came across that Reduced Book Income HAD certainly updated their cost — it had been currently outlined at $2,560!!! — this really is just $341 above compared to unique "error" cost! They realized I had been pre-accepted for $4300 — why are they currently detailing the automobile to get a FRESH low cost about the very evening they explained it had been $6400? Our best guess is they thought they could WEASEL me into spending more, into obtaining a more costly mortgage, into somehow giving or obtaining funding for that more costly cost; so when they understood I had beennot likely to perform that sport (and maynot afford to anyway), they merely modified the amount enough to be just like attractive to various other naive customer!

This Can Be A SCAM on vehicle customers within the Salt Lake region. I'm insulted and embarrassed this WELL-KNOWN dealer is turning to such vicious and DISHONEST techniques to revenue off the unsuspecting community. Upon further study, I'm understanding that a large number of others have observed exactly the same vicious, misleading, and totally dishonest conduct.
