This company is the worst company to work for. They break all your rules and break the law. DONT risk your license, dont risk your life!
(Be aware! This company runs by the name of Kenda Logistics, but has several other names!)
Kenda is a small trucking company with less than 15 trucks. The company is ran by a family. A mom (very rude, miserable, and disrepectful) A father (loud, obnoxious, and screams at everything and everyone, very bad temper) An older daughter (loud, matter of fact additude, knows everything about anything) An younger daughter (... Duh...) An older son (nice, but gets treated like crap by whole family) A younger son (also nice, but gets treated like crap). The company is ran out of a double wide trailor in a dirt/clay "yard". The definition of white-trash, they invented it. I hate to be so mean, but it's the cold hard truth.
This company has the most broke down trucks I have ever seen. Every single driver I have talked to while employed for this company talk down about the company and the way it's ran and how almost every week they break down. And to top the hassle of breaking down wherever, you call to report it to the company, and they automatically blame the driver. It could be anything, it's always your fault, never the fault of thiers. They never took it into considerstion that thier equiptment is old, and they use the cheapest way possible to fix things that is wrong with the truck to save a buck.
When you would call to report anything, they will scream and yell at you if anything is wrong. The mom is so rude and miserable, and almost never nice. They make it a joke the way they would yell at drivers, but they didnt realize that's why they never got any respect, and why they kept losing drivers. The father screams and yells about everything, so when you would call there would be at least 3 people screaming at you at once.
They give you a list of fines for being late, and so and so. Well, they would run you for over 18 hours to get to your delivery, then want to fine you for being late cause you slept in.
They tell you when you are hired that you have to buy your own log books, but because they run you illegally, you are buying log books (which have 30 days in each pack) every week. They are fully aware that the log books are "fixed" and they fully know that they are running drivers illegally.
If you are over weight, forget going back to take some pallets off, you get to go miles and miles out of the way to go around the weigh stations, and again, they get upset if you are late because now not only are they having you drive 18 hours, but another 4 or 5 to go around the scales.
They also buy the cheapest loads. So please be aware that they tell you that you will make a certain amount when you first start, but it's not true. You run for 3 days and make less than 100 dollars.
Going home, that's a joke.
They used to have me go to the yard, and I would be there for 1 to 2 days or more. They have the worst driver "emienties". The showers and bathrooms they provide outside are covered with grime, and trash. They are nasty and molding and completly against health regulations for a business.
If you decide to work for this company, expect to be broke, expect to be treated like scum, and expect to be blamed for every thing that could possibly happen.
I really just want someone to read this and stay far far away from this company. This company doesnt care about you or your family. They only care that they are making thier dollar.
I really thought about putting this up before I posted, but I fully believe that the public should know about such a bad company.
