I purchased a used car from Burt Subaru and the car ran out of oil within the first 2000 miles of driving it. There was a sticker in the windshield indicating an oil change had been done and when the next oil change was due. The car had obviously not been given an oil change and now Burt is saying we're out of luck because the car was sold "as-is". There is no oil leak in the engine and no way the oil could have run out that fast if an oil change had actually been done. We still owe $8000 on the car and a new engine is going to $3000.
