We bought a 2005 Monte Carlo LS 8 Months ago from a used car dealer called "TOWNS AUTO SALES". It has been making a popping soundwhen you brake or press the gas. We went to 3 mechanics and 2 Body Shops and they said that it has been totaled before and it had been in a really bad wreck. They said that the frame and aluminum cross bar on the car is broke. So we took it to the dealer and they said that the car is fine theres nothing wronge with it so I left and went down the road to have a mechanic write and estimate to prove what all was wrong with the car. The Fram and Cross Bar was broke and it needed to be replaced, It was missing alot of parts on the motor and frame. He said if we wrecked it would be like getting hit from the windsheild back because the front is missing so many safety features that if we were to wreck the motor and tire and all that would come straight in the car. He also said that it should have a inspected sticker on the inside door and it doesn't. We took the estimate back to the dealer ship and they looked and said it would be $180 to weld it back and replace the tye rod and bushing and a gasket on the transmission. All the mechanics said you cannot weld alluminum and I even knowed that. The bodyshop that gave me the estimate wrote out almost $5800 worth of work and thats just from the windshield and to the nose of the cars thats not everything he stopped and said its really a piece of junk to take it back and get a refund on it. Well I asked for the manager at the dealership and he left and shipped town for a few days. The employee wouldn't tell me where he went or his cell phone number. He said no money back. There was even a guy sitting in the office mad saying his car wouldn't pass emmissions test to get tags. They told him if he bought it they would put a new catalayc converter on and he said it turned out they didn't. I called the car lot investegator and they said that it was against the law to sell a car with a broken frame and cross bar and to mess with the miles. The Car is showing 20000 miles and the carfax report showes 63000 miles so they messes with the miles. And the report showed that the car was totaled in Gorgia and shipped to Nashville and just temporaily slapped togather to sell. Even the paint job is comming off on the car you can see the clearcoat turning to white when the car is red. He said I can get a warrant on them and they can be forced to give me my money back. He an get arrested fined over $10,000 He has 3 locations and they are Noensville Rd. Charollett Pk and in Gallatin I am awaiting for the owner to get back if he ever comes back. I will keep you posted. Please tell everyone and get the word out and also, please beaware of these! They have wrecked and junk cars that are just pieced back togather to sell!
