Triad Financial - Roadloans
Unposted payments, Repo'd

I purchased a vehicle through these thiefs in November. My problems began around July of this year. My son became ill and my payment was a few days late.

I called the company and arranged to catch up on the payment. They called every day, several times a day. I ended up making 2 payments in the months of July and August. Right before my payment was due in September I got a call that they were going to repo it.

I told the lady that I was caught up, and was actually ahead in payments, since I had made 2 in August. She told me I was almost 90 days late. I didn't feel like arguing, so I told her I would make a payment on Thursday, which was 2 days away. She told me that would be ok.

Imagine our surprise when at midnight someone starts pounding on the door and ringing the doorbell like crazy. We thought the house was on fire or something. It wasn't. It was someone here to repo the vehicle. I told them I had just talked with the lady at Triad that afternoon, but they still took it. One of the guys then went on to tell us that they were headed to repo 5 more for Triad, that same night! He told us they pick up a lot of vehicles for Triad.

I got on the computer to check the account, and not one payment was posted for July, and only one for August. I called Triad the next day and they refused to send me any record of payment or a copy of my original contract.

Now they want almost $9000 for payoff of the original loan, which was $16000. I figured I paid almost $9000 in payments, the vehicle supposedly sold for almost $6000 at auction. They far exceeds the original amount of the loan. I know there is interest, but it is still an unreasonble amount.

My husband was the cosigner and not once did they try to contact him. Now they are through his job, to try and collect the balance they claim we owe. We went and saw a laywer, but he said he couldn't get any of our money back and advised us to file bankruptcy to clear our credit and get out from under this mess.

One more thing, since when do you have to pay a fee to pay a bill? No matter which way I paid, there was always a fee. They are a bunch of crooks if you ask me!
