I had my Cadillac Escalde for sale on the internet as I had lost our job in a coporate down sizing and was contacted by Jodie Goodnight of The Transportation Exchange introducing their company as a search company which has individuals interested in taking over payments of your vehicle through a limited use agreement and that there was no risk as in the contract The Transportation Exchange had a 100% guarantee payment which basically meant if the user did not make the payment, The Transporation Exchange made them until the situation with the user was corrected or the vehilce was placed with another user.
I agreed to allow them to place my vehicle. That's when the trouble started. First of all, I found out they charged the user they placed the vehicle with a 10% of value of the vehicle charge to allow them to take over the payments on my vehicle telling them it went to me. NOT TRUE! I didn't recevie one dime of the money. It wasn't long until I began to have trouble with the user, payments late, insurance lapsed (which was part of the agreement also, that if the user failed to keep adequate insurance on the vehicle then Transportation Exchange would pay for the preimums until the user corrected the issue). Again, NOT TRUE!
When contacting Jodie at The Transportation Exchange there was always some excuse. Bottom line is they do not keep their word. The information on their website is not true.in fact, the license number they site on the contact us link on their website is not even real. I called the Stone County offices to verify their license and was told there were too many numbers and their was no lisiting.
To top it all off, after several demands for my money... Jodie Goodnight of The Transportation Exchange just told the user with whom I had a agreement with... To just take my vehicle to the dealership and just drop it off. This created of course a whole different issue. The dealership was in Texas, I was in Missouri and they just called GMAC and turned the vehicle in which required me to immediately cough up the full amount due to GMAC. Jodie of Transportation Exchange stopped taking my calls, etc.
Bottom line, these people are crooks. They will not keep their word. The promises on their website I have found to be NOT TRUE! And to further frustrate problems, in talking with an attorney in Texas as the contract with them states that it is dictated by Texas law, the State of Texas you cannot go after companies or individuals and garnish or receive judgement against property... So I am left empty handed... Sorry I did business with these people and encourage you to RUN like hell and don't get tangled up in the mess I found myself in.
