Lone Star Auto Repair
Discriminatory Business Practices

My vehicle was taken to Lone Star Automotive by Eagle Transmission around 09/28 to repair an oil pump. My extended warranty information was provided and the repair was authorized.

On 10/08 I received a call from the owner "Ronnie" in which he cursed me out because he was having difficulties with the warranty company Ultimate Warranty. I was returning from out of state after just attending a family funeral. I was not at all pleased with Ronnie or his phone call.

The next morning, I contacted the warranty company myself. I later found out that the warranty company was selling its contracts and everything was just a big mess. The warranty company however, contacted Ronnie and informed him of what was happening and told him that by Wednesday morning the problems should be resolved.

Of course on Wednesday nothing was resolved. I then contacted Lone Star and told Charles Guthrie that since the warranty company was fouling everything up, that I had received my credit card and would pay for the repairs then get compensation from the warranty company. I told him around 1:00 pm that I would pick up the truck in a couple of hours. He said okay.

Charles then called me back about 1 hour later stating that Ronnie would not accept credit card payment from me and that I would have to bring him cash money. I told Charles I did not have that kind of cash and why would they not take my credit card? They have no sign up that states their shop is cash only. I contacted Eagle Transmission for assistance 972-412-0440 but Dan was no help. I told Dan that this was his fault because he took my vehicle to Lone Star for repair work and I did not choose that repair shop.

I then contacted my an attorney The gall of Ronnie who had been complaining he had not received his money from the warranty company flabbergasted him. The attorney could not believe that he did not want the bill settled and called to speak with Ronnie. Of course he could not reach Ronnie.

I called Ronnie about 1 hour later to tell him I was on the way to pick up the truck and he said he did not appreciate my attorney contacting him. I told him he was illegally holding on to my property and to take the payment and release my truck. He then stated his attorney told him not to speak with me and that his attorney and my attorney would have to work this out.

Ronnie is a racist man who there is no reasoning with. He insulted me, cursed me out, and is now discriminating against me by not taking an acceptable payment for the release of my truck. He has even tried to collect storage fees. He cannot pick and choose whom he will accept payment from. Just because he is angry with me. I am beginning to think he has not repaired my truck correctly but he will stand by his work or face one nice lawsuit.

I want my truck back and Ronnie knows where he can go. Lone Star is the worst repair facility I have ever dealt with. They are incompetent, racist, and hard hearted.

I am filing this valid complaint against them. People need to be aware of who does business in their community. I truly hope people read my complaint and stay far away from Lone Star. I am also filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Division. Either Ronnie needs to treat people fairly or his business needs to shut its doors permanently.

Ronnie and his business Lone Star Auto Repair needs to release my vehicle immediately and accept the valid payment I have been trying to get them to accept.

Ronnie and his business needs to stand behind their repairs because if anything happens to my truck and it is due to the repairs Ronnie and his business completed, they will pay the repair facility of my choice for those repairs.

I am not stupid enough to ever take my vehicle back to Lone Star Auto Repair ever again. They will pay for the repairs by the facility of my choice if their work is faulty, or I will file one nice lawsuit against them.

Ronnie also needs to step out of the civil rights era and into the new century so he can treat all customers with respect and fairness.

Update

I recieved my vehicle back but the timing was not set properly. This time around the vehicle was repaired. I have informed Lone Star that if there are any problems associated with the oil pump repair that the vehicle would be taken to the dealership from this point forward and they would pay the cost in full for the repair as I am currently filing a lawsuit against them.

I was contacted by the BBB who stated they would be investigating this business immediately. We will see how this dance turns out.
