EZ Source Leasing, Inc. Was hired to sell my 2002 Ford Explorer. My account rep was Anthony Manfredonia and Anthony Lopez (owner). They had the car for 4 months. After that period of time, I asked for the car to be returned to me because they were unable to sell it. However, it took 2 months before I the car was returned. Mr. Manfredonia delayed returning the vehicle by using excuses such as "it has a deposit on it" or he was in the middle of negotiations with potential buyers." However, nothing ever materialized.
Eventually the car was returned to me. I noticed that the car had 4,000 more extra miles on it, was smoked in (the car has never been smoked prior), the spare tire was missing, the cargo partition was missing, the middle compartment was missing, the key lock on the passenger side was broken or jimmied, passenger door glass and window frame was chipped and dented (appears car was broken into or was attempted), the driver side door was dented and scratched from an apparent forced entry, seats and carpets were soiled and stained by drink, food, etc. Two toll violations for $166.00 from whoever was driving the car. Mr. Manfredonia said he was going to pay for it, but did not. Overall, after the car was returned, it appears the car was never being sold, but driven for personal use.
Also, I was concerned when I received the following public report from the OC Register;
ARRESTS: Newport Boulevard, 1900 block: Arrest, Sept. 11. Anthony Manfredonia, 50, of Costa Mesa was arrested on suspicion of using another's personal identification to obtain credit. This is apparently an indication of the questionable business practice of this organization.
