Huffines Chrysler Jeep Dodge
Everything in the green your good to go, NOT! Watch those brakes!

I am typing this letter to ask for help in my family's situation with service needed on our Dodge vehicle. We purchased a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan in March from Huffines Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership in Lewsiville, Texas. We had an awesome buying experience and were so very excited to join the Dodge family. The 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan came used with about 22,000-miles on it and it was still covered under the Dodge warranty. Huffines also offered a pre-certification on the vehicle with 125-point inspection that also included a 3,000-mile 3-month warranty on the vehicle. We were told when we purchased the vehicle that the 3,000-mile warranty would take affect after our original warranty with Dodge had expired. Huffines told us our warranty was valid through 39,000-miles. We also purchased a warranty through Dodge for 8 years or up to 80,000 miles. All our problems arose not with the buying experience, but with the warranty that Huffines guaranteed to my family and I. On August 24, my husband brought our vehicle into a scheduled appointment to have our turn signals repaired and we were also hoping we could get our cup holder replaced that was promised to us and our brake pads inspected. I called the service manager after my husband dropped our vehicle off to ask if maybe one of the technicians could look at our brake pads to see if they needed replacement. We just bought our van and it seemed odd to me that I may need new brake pads. I told the sales manager what the problems were with the brakes and he said no problem. I was told later that it would cost us $35.00 for each tire that the technician had to remove to exam the brake pads, plus also we would need to pay the cost of labor., the news discouraged me even further from faulty brakes that were sold to me and now the outrageous prices now quoted just to inspect and not even to replace if necessary. My husband was then told later by the service manager that there would be a $100.00 deductible through our policy that we purchased with the vehicle. We were shocked and also very confused by this news as well, Huffines guaranteed our vehicle until it hit 39,000-miles, so why was a deductible needed for repairs? I went to speak with the used car sales manager to try to find out why we were being charged $100.00 and why it is even being filed to my policy when Huffines had given us a 3,000-mile warranty. The used car sales manager later went to talk with the service manager and got the $100.00 deductible taken off, but still filed it with my policy. He told me again that I am covered through Huffines until 39,000-miles, he also stated that it should not matter whether or not they filed a claim with my policy, but that the problem is fixed. This was just strange as I was expecting not to have to use my warranty policy until after Huffines guarantee ran out. But, I preceded to the cashier to leave, the cashier had told me that if another problem arose with the turn signals or any other issue with our vehicle we would have to pay the $100.00 deductible. Again, I have just bought this vehicle the turn signals be faulty should be covered completely under the guarantee I was offered when I purchased the van. Now I was scared and bewildered at the fact that if my van had another faulty thing happen, I would have to pay to get anyone to look at it. My family and I cannot help but feel as if we were being taken advantage of and also lied to when it came to guaranteeing our precertified vehicle from the Huffines Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership in Lewisville, TX. We were given a fraudulent guarantee and precertification through the Huffines dealership. The repair on our vehicle should have been covered through Huffines and not filed with our warranty policy. Huffines guaranteed us this warranty during our buying of the vehicle, but later when a problem arose filed with our policy instead. I am very disappointed in my dealership and feel as if my family was betrayed.
I would like to know that repair of my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan will not be a scary ordeal like the one I had on the 24th of August. The manufacturer defects and faulty wiring should be covered under the guarantee given with the precertification I received and the Huffines extended promise to us at the time of the purchase. I believe my brake pads were also defective and being that they are now non-existent after only 5 months, should not have passed the precertifying process. I feel like I am owed an apology for the faulty blinkering system and replacement of the defective brake pads that are on my vehicle.

SECOND LETTER&
I am a mother of 3 small children and I depend a lot on my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. When I entrusted my vehicle to the Huffines Dodge dealership in Lewisville Texas to make repairs and for inspection, I assumed everything was in the green when they reported it to be. I had an oil change about 600 miles ago, found out that the 23 point inspection that was done at the time found no physical evidence of anything wrong with my brakes at the time. But, on a very weary Friday, I knew something was wrong, and drove my vehicle to the nearest brake specialists I could reach. I was told that my brake pads were gone, and my rotors were deteriorated. I was in awe, as I knew I had the entire van inspected not a few weeks before by Huffines Dodge dealership in Lewisville Texas. I now feel that the Huffines Dodge dealership in Lewisville Texas did not complete an inspection of my vehicle as they reported and put my 3 babies and me at risk of losing our lives. I was excited when I bought my minivan, as it was able to carry my 3 babies and me to the store and to do daily errands, and I was no longer stuck in the house. But, now I feel very afraid of something else being wrong on my vehicle without knowing it before hand or even with an inspection being done at the Huffines Dodge dealership in Lewisville. I would like my problem rectified and an explanation provided to me for why my brakes were in the green 600 miles ago and rapidly deteriorated to non-existent within a few weeks. I want to be able to trust Huffines Dodge again, and conveniently receive safe and dependable repairs and inspections on my vehicle in the future.
Please let me know if you can provide a resolution to my problem.
