Destroyed my car to the point they offered to buy it, to get out of fixing it

It all started with a fairly decent but used 1998 Chev Malibu, I had been driving and aquired a miss in one of the cylinders. I proceeded to drive into Mieneke Car Care on Benwhite Blvd in Austin, and spoke to a guy named Wes, who was the manager. He took down my complaint and contact info, and I left thinking that my car was in the hands of professionals. I got a call a few hours later, and was told that one of the spark plugs were bad, and it would need a tune up. I agreed to the price and told them to proceed. A couple of hours later I got a call informing me that my car as ready, when I picked it up I noticed that it still had the miss. I didn't even leave the parking lot, I went back in and told Wes that it was not fixed. He told me to give him a minute to look at it. When he came back in he told me that it needed a coil, and that it would cost x amount of dollars. I agreed and went on about what was left of my day. At around 6pm that day he called to tell me that it needed extensive ignition repairs and a fuel filter, I agreed (like an idiot) to letr them proceed. Well 3 days and 1200.00 dollars later I have my car, It is doing fine for a week and then starts to malfunction, as in check engine light coming on and running rough. I take back to Wes at Mieneke, and long story short, it is there for several days, and I have given them countless ok's to replace a BCM, ECM, coils, modules, and fuel pumps and strainers. I finally get a call after a week and a half that my car is ready. I go to pick it up, I pay the 1800.00 bill and proceed to leave. Thats when it gets good, every light in the instrument cluster is on, from the check engine light to the low coolant and brake light, and it still runs like crap if not worse. I don't even move it from the parking spot, and go in to tell Wes whats wrong, and he says not to worry, give him a day to fix it. I have given them a couple of weeks already! Well after a few days I finally get my car, and it is still in the same shape, and I have Wes telling me that he just don't know whats wrong. After thinking about it and trying to come to a happy medium, I called to speak with an owner, and get Todd Edwards, who has Chris Call me to set up a time to come in and talk, after talking with Chris (who is the new manager at that location) I find out that Wes is no longer there, thank God. Chris seems to be very honest and knowledgable, so I give him the keys and the car after he assures me there will be NO further charges. After a few days I hear from him and he informs me that he is the only one there that has the experience to fix my car, and he needs a few unintrupted hours, so I give him permission to take it home. A day or two later He tells me that he has traced the problem down to the BCM wiring Harness, it had been probed and damaged, due to prior attempts to figure out what was wrong. He explained that in order to know for sure that is the problem he was going to send it to GM, because he don't have the proper scan tool to run test on the other components. A few days later I get a call from him saying that he is no longer there and my car hasn't been touched. Well after them having my car for months on end I refused to accept it until it was fixed right, and Chris had been very honest and forthcoming with me. I was informed by the Owners Steve Lippe and Todd Edwards that Chris was let go because he was not comunicating efectivly with customers. I think he was let go because he was too honest. Anyway I have been told by Steve and Todd that they would prefer to just purchace my car from me and refund my money so that they could junk it and wash their hands of it and me. I think that if they employ such unskilled techs that damage peoples vehicles to the point of no repair, that given enough rope they will hang themselves. I have a meeting to go over the details and offer for my car. I will update as needed.
