MMCA Mitsubishi Motor Credit
MMCA Scams another customer ripoff

In September of I purchased a Montero Sport for Serra Mits in Birmingham, AL.in April I filed Bankruptcy after losing my job.in Feb. the car was a total loss.

I called MMCA to report the loss. Afterwards, my insurance company contacted MMCA to report the total loss claim. They reported payment would be made as soon as the courts release the payment. They sent copies of the checks to MMCA where they paid a total of $13,291.25. The Gap Insurance company paid $6,209.91. This is a total of 19,301.16. Remember I had this vehicle three plus years beforegoing into Bankruptcy. I paid an estimated $14,000.

The total cost for this vehicle was 27,000 with 6.2% APR. $33,000 was paid on this vehicle and they stared sending me statements in june. A collection agency was calling harrassing me about this and it made me very upset.

I continued to tell the collection repr. I paid MMCA in full. I sent for my insurance company to mail cancelled checks to send to the company. After sending the information, I never heard from the company again. Several months went by and I decided to call the Collection Agency that was calling me. The repr. Stated the case had been referred back to MMCA.

I started calling MMCA in September to settle this case. They continued to say I owe them $6,000. I explained what had happened but they did not care. The CSR wre very rude and continued to tell me to call CRC about my account.

After calling CRC, I could not get them to understand because they did not know anything but i owe MMCA $6,000. I started calling MMCA back to clear this up. Final March 30, I received an itemized statement. I have eleven (11) Repo/Collection Expense charges during the time I was in Bankruptcy. I also have Repo/Collection charges after the car was reported Total Loss by Insurance company. I even have a Repo charge dated August 1.

Six months after the car was a total loss. I have been calling MMCA for the last 10 months trying to clear this up. They will not listen and they will not call you back. I really need help with this issue. I am trying to purchase a home and this continues to block me. If someone could please help me I would appreciate it.

How can they charge me Repo charges while in Bankruptcy? I paid regularly. I even sent them a copy of the court file of my payments. Each Repo charge was $466 each. It was charged also twice on certain days.
