I bought a pickup truck from the dealer on the condition that the air conditioning must work. The salesman told me he had someone who had a license to work with the air conditioning unit fix it and get it working. He charged me fifty dollars extra for that service. When I got home with the truck I noticed that not only did the air conditioning not work, but it had a severe oil leak. I took the truck to a mechanic and he was shocked that it could pass safety and emissions (which they do at the dealership). The work needed to be done to fix the oil leak is so extensive that the mechanic said, "that is probably why they needed to sell the truck". A week after I bought the truck the check engine light came on. I called the Dealership multiple times and they are unwilling to help or backup the vehicle in any way. It is sad to have to learn a lesson this way, but if it helps to save you from this kind of terrible experience then at least some good can come of this tragedy.
