Charged me 2086.04, had my truck for 3 months, and gave it back to me the same way

To Whom It My Concern

On August 5th of 2006 I took my Toyota 4runner Truck in for repair to Bay crest Auto. At that time, the 4 runner had a very bad miss in the engine. He at that time told me that he would check out the 4runner to see what the problem was. 3 Days later he had called me to inform me that I had a bad exhaust Valve. He at that time had quoted me a price of a min. Of $1400.00, and a Max. Of $1800.00 and would take about 2 weeks or so to do the job. At that time I had given him the OK to do the job.

Well after 2 months, that's right you read it right (2 MONTHS) of having the 4runner, he got it all back together started it up, and he said that it ran good and he just had to do little things to it. Another 3 weeks went by and he told me that he found an oil leak and that he would fix it and have it for me the next day. Well the next day never came. After another 4 days, he calls me up and tell me that it is running great, and that he had to order the parts to fix the oil leak. The next day, I went to see how things were going, and he told me that the leak was fixed, and took the 4runner for a ride, ran it for about 2 miles, and the 4runner stopped. He started it up and now he tells me that the engine is only running on 5 cylinders. 2 more days go by and and now tells me that he thinks it is a bad fuel injector. I told him at that time that I did not want him to do anymore work on my Truck. He told me at that time that if I want the Truck back, I would have to pay the bill before I take it. I had no choice but to pay the bill to get my Truck out of the shop. When I went to get the Truck, he gives ma a bill for $2086.04 for parts that he had used on the Truck, and I had to pay him. The car is now missing more now the when he 1st got it. I now have to take the Truck to a different shop to correct the problem, and spend more money. And money I do not have. I will be taking the car to another shop on 11/6.

To Summarize it, I took the car to Bay Crest Auto Services on August 5th and the car was returned on 11/04.

This is a long time to have a car repaired, and receive it back in worse condition then I when I brought it into the shop, and also have to pay a bill of $2086.00 to get the car back. I do not feel that this is a way to do business. I also feel that I paid for something that I did not get. I lost days of work, Had to pay Insurance on the Truck while it was in the shop, and also had pay insurance on my son's car that I would normally take off the road while he is away at collage. Also please keep in mind that I put 2200 miles on my son's car while mine was in the shop. This whole problem cost me a lot of time and money, and I still sit with a broken Truck. Where is the justice here?
