They sell lemon cars to lots of people and make you pay for it Ripoff

I purchased a 2002 Ford Escort from the Drivetime in EL Monte on May 21. I should have known something was not right from the start when right after i bought my car I got a call from the sales guy a few days later and he started asking me very personal questions, like if I was in a happy in my marriage and thats when i realised I was being sexually harrassed. So I called his manager and basicially he laughed it off like it was a huge joke to him and as a matter of fact he even stated that it must be some kind of joke. Then i stated " this is no joke, you think its funny to be called at work and harassed about my marriage". Well he then started to state how sorry he was and that he would file a complaint and get back to me. From then on I never heard from him again on that matter. But Come July only two and a half months after i have purchased the car it started stalling on me. So of course right away my husband and I took it to or auto mechanic and they said it was a the fuel injectors that they were so filty and have not been check in years probably. So minned you when i bought that car it had a check sheet of things they said they fixed and kept up to date on, but anyway the mechanis cleaned it and sent us on our way. About two weeks after the check engine light came back on and then it started stalling again almost killing us on one incident. So we took it back to the same mechanic and he did a diagnostic on it and said Mrs. Balderrama we can't find the problem. And I'm like what do you mean, the car is stalling every which way especially when i make right or left turn, and he says well it could be a faulty fuel pump or the fuel injectors but i can't see or find the problem. When then i thanked him for his honesty and left.

I went home and called drivetime, were they then told me my warranty is up and that i would have to wait three weeks in order to take it to there service department. And i told them I don't have three weeks, I have to go to work. This was my only means of transportation and then they had the nerve to ask for my payment for the two weeks where i then laughed at her and said i am not paying my payment unless my car is fixed. I told her i was alomst killed on two occasions from that car stalling and i had already put money out to fix this car the first time and the check engine light is still on. And she didn't kow what to say... So to make a long story short this goes on for another two months with the car dying and them refusing to admit they sold me a lemon. So on this past friday September 29 I took the car to get a oil change at a Midas down the street from us and my husband and I are waiting their for the car and the mechanis calls over my husband to explain what he is finding. And he then starts to show my husband a list of things that is wrong with our car: 1. The check engine light was still on and he did the diagnostic to it and it came up the same a faulty fuel line or injectors, and mined you we had already fixed this three times by this point but it still says there is a problem, the engine belt is cracked and had never been replaced as agreed upon, the air filter was filty and had not been changed in a long time, and the rooters on the car on both sides were in very bad shape and very dangerous for us to drive. I could not believe me ears but i had to say i was not surprised. So I had the last straw... I get home to find a message from them on my voicemail ask for my past due payment... Cause i had not payed them cause of all these repairs we have had to make on this damn car and thats when my husband and i decide to give them there pure lemon of a car back. We drove the same dealer in El Monte. My husband walked in and handed the manager the keys and said we are done playing these games. You can have your car back it doesn't work, you sold us a lemon... Needless to say, None of the guys their looked very surprised. Almost as if this had happened to them often. And the only question they asked us was how long have you had the car and we told them four months and that was it. They did say one word to us after we walked out got in my step mothers car and left. When we were leaving they had every chance in the world to talk to us and see if they could help us but the three men that came out didn't say one work to us after, they were just looking at the car, so we went around the block and when we came around they went back inside. They didn't even try to test drive it or anything. But there you go. Thats my horrible story. I felt i had to complain to rip-off online and share this cause i was a sucker from the start and they really need to be taken out of business. I don't know how they are still in business.
