Service Department horrible service complete with returning my car multiple times for repeat problems Ripoff

The service department at vermont chevrolet has been without a doubt the most horrible consumer experience for me in my 41 years of life!

I have taken my 2002 chevrolet corvette to them for service so many times that the car seems to be in the shop more often than in my possession.

For example, I have taken the car to them for the fourth time in less than 1/2 a year for what they said was a defaulty oil pressure gauge. Upon my fourth time in to service they have told me that it is the entire electronic cluster that is bad and has to be replaced for $900! Of course, each previous time in, I have had to be without an automobile for a week and have had to pay a $50 co-pay for the service thru my extended warranty.

Not once have they admitted they were wrong in servicing the car incorrectly or offered to refund me the money for their mistakes. This is just one example of their complete incompitance and crooked b.S.!

There was the left turn signal that has been replaced twice. The second time going bad only after a couple months after being replaced the first time.

Then there is the driver side door lock which has been replaced I believe 3 times if not 4 times. Each time I have to take the car in leave it with them while they order the part and wait without a vehicle to get around town (I am single with no other transportation)!

To further aggravate me, upon driving the car home from the dealership the last time that I had it in for the "bad" oil pressure gage, I go to "roll-up" my driver's side window and it was suddenly becoming stuck on the inside door panel. The door panel would "lift-up" then snap back into position after the window was completely in the "up" position.

I called back immediately and was seriously questioning why someone had obviously "messed" with the driver's side door. After all, the car had only been brought in for the oil pressure gage. This brought back nightmare memories of the bad door locks as I began to question was someone purposely "sabotaging" my car.

And finally, today June 3rd. I go to pick -up the car for the replaced electronic cluster which they finally on the fourth time realized was the problem, and they bring my car out to me with a 3 foot long keyed scratch down the driver's side door!!!

Up to this point over the past year and half or so I have been nothing but understanding, polite and patient when they actually didn't deserve such behavior from me. But today I lost it. As I stared at that scratch it quickly came to mind that they had promised to wash the car too. It was filthy of course. It had not been washed at all, and now it had a 3 foot long scratch down the driver's door to add "insult to injury".

I suppose my service manager had told me the car would be washed out of some kind of repayment of what he had put me thru. But they couldn't even get that right.

It was explained to me at this point (for the first time i might add) that if the car was scratched they would have marked it on the back of the log sheet upon bringing the car in for service. To their benefit the sheet did show that the mark was there. But I know that this is a lie! It was not there when I brought it in. They have agreed, at least verbally, to fix it. Of course, now they have my car for another weekend and I will have to make arrangements to work again next week!!!

There was no initials beside this mark on the paper nor did they have me sign my initials for their finding.in addition there was already a huge scratch (much more obvious than this one) on the passenger side door and it didn't appear on the sheet. Why would some idiot see the mark on the driver's side door but not see the more obvious scratch that I had done myself several months ago on the passenger door. IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!

I will conclude by saying that I would appreciate SO much any help, phone numbers for complaints, lawyer's numbers whom might be interested in my case, etc that you can provide me.

I am past the boiling point and pissed-off beyond belief with this dealership. I will never purchase another GM product as long as I live. And it is no wonder that they are getting their asses handed to them with their pathetic bottom line numbers and miserable stock prices from the likes of Toyota, etc.
