I was contacted by a customer service rep from one stop motors who said they had seen my custom chopper for sale in cycletrader. I was told they could sell it in 3-4 weeks with their mass advertising and they would finance the buyer and handle the shipping arrangements. I was told of the 30 day money back guarantee if I sold it on my own. I was also "lucky" to get their special rate of only $250 for their quality service.
I took the bait because it was a high dollar motorcyle and it would be beneficial if they could finance a buyer and arrange shipping. My credit card was charged immediately and that is about the only thing they are good at. It took a couple weeks of phone calls and e-mails before I finally found my motorcycle on their website. It is almost impossible to find and they priced it higher than I requested. During that time, I also made several requests for a contract. I finally received an empty envelope with their return address on it.
I finally spoke to Rob and told him I wanted to cancel as they had done nothing and I had a buyer driving 16 hours with cash in hand (from cycletrader ad). Rob said he wanted a chance to do it right and he was going to put it on e-bay and blah, blah, blah. He said, if I sold it, he would refund my money if I met certain requirements. How about them meeting their requirements first.
I chalked it up as a learning experience. I hope others can learn, do not do business with one stop motors.
Ps... I sold it myself but didn't bother notifying them. It's been on their site for about 10 months and I have not received one potential buyer from them.
