My wife and I bought a car from Car-Mart of Tulsa at 11th and Sheridan. I got the extended warranty that they offer when you buy the car. After having the car for 1 month, I already had problems with it. The ignition coil went out. They told me that I needed to pay 50.00 to get it fixed. After I got my car back, they told me that they needed to put more spark plugs in the car.
I told them that I could not afford to have my car in the shop any longer. So I went and bought the spark plugs and wires myself, and my car still was acting up. I took the car back in, and they told me that they would get it fixed. After they fixed the car, I had it for 2 more months, and then the piston rods broke. They did not want to fix it. I asked around to different mechanics in the Tulsa area, and they told me the reason my car broke down was the same problem I had before when the car went in the shop.
They called me and told me that they had a wrecked car that I could buy for the engine, but they wanted parts off of that car if I bought it from them. A previous customer had bought that car from them too, and it was wrecked. I am not going to buy a wrecked car for the engine and have them tell me that they want parts off of the car after I buy it. They would have someone put the engine in, but I would have to pay half of the repairs and the other half would go on my car payment at the end. So I am not going to do that. I quit making payments on my car. Now they are taking me to court to sue me for the rest of the car after I told them to come get it.
I do not think I have to pay a dime to them because the car is not worth anything at all. I cannot afford to have the Car-Mart garnish me because I have 2 kids and my wife does not work. I am the only one working to support my family, and if I get garnished, I will not be able to buy diapers for my daughter, food and clothes for my kids, or pay my bills, over a car that was worth nothing.
