Vanover Cheverolet, General Motor Not honoring 100,000 duramax warranty. Truck has 60,000 miles

Duramax Warranty is 100,000 miles. Truck broke down at 60,000 mile piston had a hole melted thru. GM feild rep stated due to the fact that a pyrometer installed GM will not honor warranty. Dealership has quoted job to replace motor at $18,000
