Ripoff head gaskets go in 2 cars in 6 months from drivetime

I bought a car from this drivetime in oct. Nine months later the head gasket went in the car causing a small oil fire under the hood while my 16 year old son was driving the car. I immediately called drivetime for help with the bill. I was told that it would cost me about $3600.00 which could be paid for over 2 months (which was completley unreasonable) or i could pay $1200.00 and buy out of my current loan and they could give me another car with no money down. The entire engine of the car needed to be replaced and they were going to replace it with one from a junk yard.

Chuck (manager) told me that it was my fault that the engine went bad because when they received the vehicle there wasnt any oil in it. When in fact the oil spewed all over the road and the car when the head gasket went that is why it caught fire (hello). I went about a month withouta vehicle by the time i was done being run through their typical rat race of indecisions and ignorant ignorance of their customers. Did i mention that i was an on time paying customer. I decided to take the 1200.00 offer and very recluctantly took another vehicle from drivetime. This time i purchased a 2001 ford taurus (the only choice i was given).in august i took delivery of this car. Approximately 1 month later the starte needed to be replaced and i was again stuck ont he side of the road.in feb my son was on his way to orlando with some friends and he called me early in the A.M. Hours and guess what. The car had broken down in the middle of i-4 about 40 miles from home and he again was left on the side of the road in yet another dangerous situation. After paying 157.00 in towing fees drivetime told me that the head gasket had gone in this car also and it must be the driver.

Chuck said that "someone drove the car and it overheated and someone didnt pull over" (i was being blamed again). I told chuck that i was not taking the fall for the junk that they sell and we do not drive our vehicles around when they overheat or without water or changing the oil at the recomended time intervals. He treated me like i was just another stupid woman and didnt know what i was talking about. To date i have not heard the cost of the repairs this time around. It has been 11 days since they have had the car. Is there anyone there who knows if we have any legal recourse against this company?
