Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing bad repairs that left our family stranded on dangerous canyon roads

On 5/30/04 my husband and I were traveled from Tucson with our three children in our R.V. To Show Low AZ. When the R.V. Started having electricle problems. As a result of this we had Affordable auto tow the R.V. With the understanding they would also repair the problem.

Affordable Auto had our R.V. All day. Each time (3or4) we stopped in to check on the repairs they told us they were still working on it. However we only witnessed one time when a service person was actually working on the R.V.

It was now getting late and close to closing time. They assured us it would be done. With that said i left the garage to return the rental car we had to get leaving my family to wait for the R.V.

When I returned to the garage shortly after closing time I found my family in the R.V. Outside the locked fence of Affordable Auto.

Affordable Auto had my husband sign his name to the bill which was on my credit card. This credit card is only in my name. Had they waited for me to return I NEVER would have singed a $750.83 bill. Not after what they told my husband about the repairs.

Affordable Auto stated that we might make it back to Tucson but, they could not be sure. And that we would have to drive with out using anything that would drain the battery.

They knew we had to drive through the Salt River Canyon and that it would soon be getting dark. HOW could they honestly charge someone $750.83 and send the vehicle out on the road stating repairs complete but, do not use anything that will draw from the battery. This is why we had the vehicle in the garage in the first place.

Basically all they did for us was charge the battery. They did not diagnose or repair the vehicle.

As a result of there bad repairs we had to be towed again. This time we were in a very unsafe area of the Salt River Canyon hwy waiting for a tow truck.

After contacting Affordable they stated that our vehicle made it 90 miles until the battery quit. EXACTLY!!! Please read your own words! The battery quit. This says right there that the original problem was not repaired. This says Affordable must think it is OK to fraudulantly charge for diagnostic tests and state the problem is corrected. That it is OK to charge $750.83 to charge the battery!!!

Affordable Auto CLEARLY thinks they can take advantage of out of town visitors. I feel what they did to my family put us in a very unsafe situation and charged us an outragous amount of money. What Affordable Auto did i feel is criminal, fradulant and completely dishonest.

Affordable Auto should be held accountable, and i will continue to let others know not to fall victum to such an untrustworthy company.

In conclusion here is a list of the fraudulant charges:

1) 246.00 for diagnoses no start problem
This was not diagnosed or repaired

2) 99.95 for a power converter part
This was the wrong part causing me a 229.00 repair (alternator)- 82.00 to remove and replace (with wrong part)

3) 123.00 for wiring harness
Which Econo lube states was wired incorrectly by Affordable

4) 41.00 to replace drive shaft which was removed to tow vehicle—
There was no mention of this being an additional charge

5) 20.00 to charge battery
basically this is all affordable really did to the vehicle

6) 100.00 to re-tow to affordable shop
I then had to pay for anther tow after Affordable's bad repairs

7) 28.45 for shop supplies
no explanation or codes for what supplies were used
