I received a phone call from an Aerotek Rep stating that I was qualified for a position. He asked me several questions about how long I'd been unemployed and did I have any knowledge of MS Excel. I said yes, intermediate and I've been unemployed 2 years. He tells me that he will run this information and my resume by the acct manager that day, and he wants to set up an interview. He said he was emailing information for me to send to him for the appt on the next day. He didn't send the email until I called him the next morning. I filled out the information and returned the email immediately. I get to the interview and he tells me that I am not qualified for the job by the way I answered about the Excel question and the fact that I had been unemployed 2 years was another disqualifier. He told me that he was NOT going to run this information by the acct manager, then he said, because I already did (which he was supposed to do the day before anyway, but obviously he did not). Then he said if he doesn't call me in 3 weeks, to call him and I need to continue to look for a job and not rely on him. I told him that I had been unemployed too long to rely on HIM which obviously he was trying NOT to give me a position I was obviously qualified for. He said that when he calls me he is going to ask me what I have been doing for the past 3 weeks. I don't have to report him. I will never work with Aerotek and I'm in the process of a report right now.
