I've been going to Subway since I was in High School. There staff was College Kids working part time and a few old timers that wanted some extra cash. The food was good and the service always came with a smile.
No longer is this the case. One could only guess, in order to save a few bucks, I am greeted with a glare from employees who look like they just got off the bus from Mexico and served sub-par quality food. The orders always need to be repeated at least twice (since I don't speak Spanish in America) and not so much as a hello or thank you. I get the feeling I'm invading there place and I should leave, of course after I hand them my money. I don't go there much any more and I have a real hard time justifying ever returning there.
Is cutting corners really worth it to the owners of these places. I'm sure they are seeing a profit at the end of the day since our population seems only to be growing and there's always going to be more new customers then dissatisfied, never to return old customers, but I wouldn't be surprised if eventually they only catered to Spanish speakers.
Forget you Subway. You can eat something "Fresh" my dog just dropped in my backyard. I'm never going back.
