Me and my wife purchased a franchise in and It was the biggest mistake ever. First off, It took them almost two years to open our store and thats only because we found the location ourselves. The pre-openining support was non-existent, and we would have been better off doing it all ourselves. Once our store was open, we never saw a penny profit. On an average we lost about 4-5 grand a month, even though we were the highest ranking store in the state at one time.
There food cost is grossly inflated, as is their equipment you have to have. The best example of this was a $27.50 bowl for cut up lemons for ice tea or $85 for 10 pieces of fake kale for your pepper bar. Go into any quiznos and see these items for yourself, any layman can see these items got marked up about 500-600% from those greedy ba*ds at cooperate.
Our store lasted about a year before we shut down. We did not take out other loans or sell our house for this franchise, we saw the writing on the wall and cut our loss. We had to declare bankruptcy just like many other quizno owners.
It has been a year now since we shut down our store, and it was the best thing we did. My wife was tired of working every dad with low life employees who dont care about losing money, and greedy cooperate owners who dont care about your business. I strongly urge anyone who is considering quiznos a good investment to run!!!
p. S - about 6 months after we closed a guy called me about opening up our old store. I told the truth about quiznos, but he didnt listen to me and my wife. This dumba* is in the same boat we were in about a year ago now. If you own a quiznos right now, its not going to get better. Dont take out anymore loans, cut your losses now. You will feel better, and quiznos cant get anymore money off you.
