Sharon Jackson called my work cell phone stating that she was an investigator with the check fraud division in St. Louis County. The sad part is that I called my bankruptcy attorney's office first to make sure this person was legit. I gave them the name and contact info for them to call to check them out. They did and said that they were legit &so i thought it was for real & First she stated that I was being charged with writing checks on a closed acct. And she would not give me the name of the company or bank that was charging me. She stated that the bank that I wrote these checks out of was audited by the IRS and that is why the case turned into a criminal case. She said that people were prosecuting me and I would go to jail today if I did not pay the 1300 in full. She said that I would lose my license. She said, "I see that you are not on any probation in St. Louis county and that is good. I'm just trying to help you becuase I don;t want you to get into any trouble"."You have to exanorate yourself in order to get the charges released". Long story short - because in fact she made several threats and was very hateful and condesending, accusing, etc—i ended up crying my eyes out and paying this person or company 350.00 out of rent money on my debit card. I looked on my debit card statement 2 days later and decided that i would go back and just check the company out online&as soon as I put her name in all of the reports popped up about her everywhere!!! I feel so cheated and stupid bc in fact this has happened to me before— another person claiming to be investigator got 600 from me 6 months ago. That is why I called my attorney's office to make sure and they did not help me they fed me to the wolves. I am so upset. I have filed a report with the federal trade commission and the attorney general. I don't know where else to go. I wish I could filed criminal charges on Sharon Jackson!!! Be warned!!!
