Back in November of I was not happy with my previous processor for my credit card terminal, and this guy name Mike Beaver came to my store as a sells representative for the company named NPC Retriever. He told me every single piece of the equipment will be free, so I assigned the lease. There were two lease that I had sign, one is for the account at NPC Retriever, the other one is for Leasing Finance Group (LFG) which is the company who lease all the terminal to their customers and that is where my nightmare starts. On the top of the LFG lease, it said non-cancelable lease, and when I saw that I asked him is everything will be free for sure, and he answered me yes. I asked him many times throughout the process when I was signing the lease, and he still told me yes, not just once. On the non-cancelable lease, there is one section where said equipment fees, he did not use a pen to cross it out, but he left it blank, and took that page with him after I sign everything.
After couple months, I start to realize that my banking account was charged $110.00 by LFG every month. So I called Mike Beaver, and of course he is gone. I left voice message, called his work, email him, I had tried every single possible way to get in touch with him, but he was gone after the day he took the paper that I signed. So I can only call LFG to find out what is going on. I called them many times, and they kept telling me that I signed the non-cancelable lease so I have to pay for 48 months, but I keep telling them that the guy Mike Beaver told me everything is free there should not be any charge and also he left the fee section blank on the lease; later on LFG faxed me the lease where the section had been filled $99.00/month and has my signature at the bottom, by the moment I know that Ive been a fool. Mike Beaver took the lease that I signed, and fill the blank section after he left my store!!!
Later on, I changed my business checking account so that way LFG cannot get money out of my account. Then they start calling me and sending me all these letters saying that I have a balance of over 5000 dollar due immediately, and they even threat me that if I dont pay the bill I will end up sued by them.
I have very good credit background; I pay my bills all the time on time. The only reason that I am not paying them back is because everything that was on the paper is fake and everything turns out different than what Mike Beaver told me. I am not afraid to go to the court, I search LFG through the internet and noticed that a lot of people is been trick by this company, I will fight back! I found BBB on usacomplaints.com, and some people on there said that BBB can help people who are in a situation like this. But do I have to pay for BBB? Please help me!!
