Instant Tax service is a Scam! The only reason i chose to use there services is because i really needed the money and could not afford to wait. Flyers were all around my apartment complex and each time i turn on the radio i'd hear (everybody gets a check! Cash loan up to $1000!!!) I always think the worst when i hear (UP TO) so i figured, hey if I do this, I know i'll get at least $500! So i made an appointment. My tax preparer was HIGHLY unprofessional and even considered I LIE on my taxes. Make up a side job as a barber for my unemployed husband and explained how i didn't need to have receipts. She even reccomended i get a social security number for a family member so I could claim they provided childcare for me, even after I told her more than once, I did not pay for childcare. (I should have seen the red flags then but i was so deseperate for a loan, I continued). I turned down the offer and after an hour of paperwork and discussion, the tax preparer told me she did not know how much of a loan i would receive and that I had to talk to the office manager. However she assured me that I would receive the RAL loan on January 20th (a week later) and it wouldn't be UP TO $1000 but a guaranteed $1000. I was excited and decided to go ahead and move forward with the process. She told me to wait outside of the office managers office where i waited patiently for an HOUR while she chatted with a client as well as employees interrupting her. Finally she saw me and informed me I was approved for $50 but her office would match the loan however I would have to cash the voucher at their preferred Check Cashing facility. I was given a $100 loan but had to pay to cash it. The office manager also informed me that the more we use there service, the higher the loan (but that was not said in the advertisement, I assumed new clients could receive up to $1000 also). 1 week passed and I was counting on the $1000 RAL loan. I called on the 20th and received HORRIBLE customer service. It took me about 3 hours to get through. I'd call, they'd answer and place me on hold! No GREETING OR NOTHING just hold music! After finally reaching someone I was told there was a delay and they'd call me when the check was received. I called 3 days later and was informed I was not approved however the entire refund would be here on the 28th. I was very disappointed. 28th comes, once again it took about 3 hours to get through. I was told there was a delay and I now had to wait til Feb. 3 and was told, "We'll call you" Feb. 3rd comes and I was told. Ok it will arrive for sure on the 8th your account is still processing! I am SO UPSET with their service! They never called to update me on my account or inform me of delays, they constantly broke their promisses, they have horrible customer service and I'm actually paying for this? Never again! I will stick with TURBO TAX from NOW ON! At least they email updates.instant Tax Service should not be able to FALSELY Advertise! It is not right. I missed out on celebrating my birthday because of there promises. I figured I didn't have to save money because I'd have my refund by now. Little did i know.
