I went to the Instant Tax location in Gainesville, GA on 12/18 to apply for the Line of Credit. I received a $300 dollar check on that day. It seemed as if everyone there received the same amount. I was charged over $500 for that line of credit. I felt as if I was being overcharged but I was assured that there would not be anymore fees and I could later apply for a RAL. Well, I returned to Instant Tax on 1/16 to file my return and apply for the RAL. Was promised by the owner Dan, that I would receive a check on 1/27. I did receive a check for $300 on 1/27 but was told that the IRS did not release funds as they promised. I was assured that I would have my return DD on 1/31. The IRS DD my return into Instant Tax bank (Tax Tree) on 1/31. I have yet to receive my refund. I have spoken with Dan several times and was assured that my refund would be deposited within 24-48 hours. That was a lie. He refuses to give me any contact information for Tax Tree. I am frustrated and feel as if I have been cheated. My refund is in their account collecting intrest. I wish I had never used Instant Tax.
