Applied for PayDay Loan on line and received one but my bank account showed an additiional loan I did not request. This money was from a company I had never heard of: SSM Group LLC. I figured someone had used the information I placed on line and that the money was legitimate because they probably did not require a signature or had approved me for a loan but forgot to send the email advising that they had approved me. I was annoyed because I would not have applied for the first loan if I had known about the second loan.
I tried to look up the company on line and found numerous warnings that they were a scam. After I recovered from the shock, I searched some more and found phone numbers for them but they did not work. Finally found a phone number that did work (855-284-7685). Keep calling this number because it will hang up before the call is completed. Eventually you will get a recording. Stay with the call no matter what because their phone system is designed to make you hang up. You will get an operator who can help you.
This is quite a mess and I don't know if I will file a complaint or not. Complaining would be very stressfull and I have medical issues which are greatly harmed by stress. Could someone give me more information on how to contact the federal government and Illinois state government to file a complaint? I need phone numbers and website addresses. This help would greatly lessen my stress because it takes me hours to do things on line due to memory problems. The company does not yet know that I am aware of there illegal shenanigans.
