Taking double from checking account when hardly paying bills have to pay for NS funds, then double charging again - rude and uncompitent in between - God to keep you away if can from banks like this and Internet

Metlife debited my bank account twice, forgetting to cancelthe second transaction after I called and changed the date.in two days 11/28 and 11/30 my bank account was debited for $2361 twice. This isafter my husband lost his job and we have been in the worst financial situationever. I have originally contacted them on 11/16 to see do they can provideany help, but it was only nightmare since. They could only schedule anwithdraw - something I could have done myself and send modification papers. I have schedule a automatic bank payment with them for 11/30, but I was told that I can reschedule any time if have the funds. Ihave called again on 11/23 that the funds were there and they"rescheduled" the date for 11/28. For my surprise on 12/01 we have seen two debits in ourchecking account - somebody from Metlife have not cancel the second transactionand now we had all the bills we were trying so hard to catch up with havinginsufficient charges and account bal negative. I have started calling Metlife 7AM, spoke with many reps, waited hours for supervisor Susan Rodriquez, was given non working fax #s tofax my bank statements proving there mistake. Later that day they finallyreceived the fax and agreed that was their mistake, spoke with supervisor Ali, that assured me that will call me later that day. After speaking with Chase bank I found out that Metlifeneeds to cancel their withdraw so we are not charged with late fees. Calledback again - about 8 times at least. And other representative told me that theycan't do that, but will overnight me a check. I said that Chase have neverheard bank not to be able to cancel charge and in that case we will have to pay the insufficient chargeson all - many other withdraws scheduled. The Metlife rep said that they can refund late charges maybe after wesend then a statement... Then I told them that after hours with them that day, missing work and having wrong numbers given, being put on hold ect. I didntget any help and have to cancel the double withdraw, that is their mistake withthe bank to avoid late fees. I was crying on the phone. They told me that they are tapingme... I have not received a return phone call from supervisor Ali. We havenever received the loan modification papers promised on 11/16, not that inthe way they work will not make just bigger mess. I didn't get any help - justthe opposite, huge disappointment from people that do not know what they aredoing and do not seem to care about the consumer. I was charged on top $20-twice for them to put me in that mess. Chase bank thankfully helped me fast with the problem. Today with much hardship we got the money to make the Dec payment, but for my surprise after opening my statement online it showsthat we now have had "returned payment"- We have never made thatpayment!!! And the bal of the account is $ 4522.70- double again. And to callthe bank ASAP. I have called right away and a rude CSR has told me that inher system shows the normal payment of $2251 and she has no idea - to call backMonday. I did explain to her what mess they did before, but she veryrudely said that that is all and call back. Maybe Metlife is planning to pay mefor a day off work when it is such a hard time now for us. It is such a shame what they are doing with the people, nowonder that so many people are losing their homes. I was going to be late oneweek and that never happened in 12 years. I should have just schedule thepayment online myself, not calling, letting them know, etc - after that stillcannot get my blood pressure down the mess they made from such a small thing. Iam a IL Broker and Manager and for have done mortgages, explained them topeople and have an idea about the way it works. For clueless people, all that incompetent, uncaring reps can easily "help" people loose their homes, time, andmoney. Somebody has to help them do the job they are there for theright way.

It is so sad that insted if not little help they put you in such a mess and the rudeness and complete ignorence are stanning!!!

Is this America and how many retired, underemployed or not so knowledgable people are put out of there homes or on red over something that is not their fault, but the bankers got the bonuses from out bailout money and now are ripping the people with ignorence...

America, America... All that and much more makes me think who cares and who does anything or we are all taking it and banks are charging late fees ASAP, but who is paying for their mistakes? Here is me and I am not alone unfortunatly.

Please somebody stop them!!!
