Man calling himself "Mark Thomas" from HNRE verification department left me a voicemail at work. He said he wanted to speak with me about some documents he will be mailing to the HR director at my work. He was aware of her name. He said he wanted to speak to me first and left a phone number and a case ID number. I called the number at 10 AM central time and got an after hours recording, but did not leave a voicemail.
After very little research I found that they are most likely a fraudulent company who tries to scam people out of money for very old debts that have often already been paid. They get their information from skip tracers and credit reports. I called the FTC and filed a complaint immediately. I urge anyone else whom they harass to do the same.
