Colonial Penn Life Insurance Company
Stolen Ideas

In 1975 I worked for the Colonial Penn Insurance Company as a cashiering clerk in the same department. My job was to tabulate check amounts received for premium payments. A friend of mine worked part time for White Chapel Cemetery Company picking up cadavers. I came up with the idea to have the insured policy holders prepay for their burial plots by increasing their premium payments just a few dollars each month. We retained an attorney for $50 to represent us delivering the idea to Colonial Penn Group. Since I had befriended Cheryl, Mr. Grubs secretary, I was able to get Cheryl to type a business letter for me to give to her boss. I was able to obtain a meeting with Mr. Grubb to expressly idea. He slimed it so much he met with the president of White Chapel and Our attorney Mary Belle Hammerman, and my friend and I were pushed out of
the deal.

That summer Colonial Penn started a new plan called " The Sunshine Plan " and the company grossed $25 million insoles revenue. They even had me keying in the information on the 4 - 12 shift for data entry. The company tried various ways to get rid of me, finally they just fired me. It's not strange when the big boys swallow up the little guy. But why do they do that when they have so much. Here it is years later and they're still at the same game and getting complaints!
