Credit services, crazy magazine subscription, and awful customer service

We have shopped at JcPenney for years, had all 4 kids, and our wedding registered there, and because of their credit card services have decided to never walk into a store again.

They have charged us late fees, had harrassing phone calls, were supposeed to be calling us about fixing everything, but never call, and have no notes after 2 hour conversations with them.

They signed us up for some crazy magazine, that we could not get stopped, and after threatening them they finally had someone call us back after almost 12 months of charging us and not even sending us the magazine.

It is obviously a racket, if you just allow them to charge you, they will forever, no one is ever in their offices, you cant cancel with jcpenny customer services and they NEVER return phone calls if you raise a large enough stink they will finally cancel it.

DO NOT sign up for their credit card services, and make for sure what you are signing yourself up for, because they care more about you signing up for their credit card, then taking care of you as a customer.

It is the hardest card I have ever had to get service on, or make payments for.

It is not surprising that they are having to restructure their company and go after a new market... The other market has moved on to shop somewhere else... Thank goodness for a free market and competition.
