I too have been totally scammed. I am on the phone with my bank right trying to figure out what to do. I tried to search on the web prior to authorizing anything but I was searching under the wrong name. I was searching under 'Liberty Card Services'. Today, I went online to the Central Ohio Better Business and couldn't find the name of the company. Now I know that I was searching under the wrong name. I have never so embarassed.
I feel extremely stupid and gullible. Like most of you, I have never done anything like this before.
First of all, you can hardly get through to their customer
service and secondly, they are very nasty when you call. Constantly giving you the run around and eventhough I can see the ACH on my bank statement they are still saying that they didn't receive the funds. On November 28 they made two attempts to get $299 out of my checking
account. The first time they got their money but on the second try they didn't. Ofcourse my bank charged me $25 for that second transaction.
Note*: Out of anger, I called to let them know that I found out that I had been scammed. The person I spoke to was very nasty and told me that I would be receiving a "stored-value" Mastercard. That was not what the initial call offered. I told her anyone can get that and it doesn't cost $299. Needless to say, they hung up on me.
