I was ripped off for $3,000 from Civic Center Financial and the law offices of James D. Brenner. Like the others here - CCF used an attorney named Michael Yellin - there are 2 other complaints here on him. Well, I experienced the same issue, except with the NEW attorney the obtained. I never heard anything from James D. Brenner whatsoever. I gave them my $3,000 in October. It is now June and I am in foreclosure. Several months ago, I was told by employees of CCF that CCF had 'crashed' and was no longer, but they felt bad for me so they would help me out. Wrong. I have been dumped by them as well. So bottom line, I am doing my own modification and talking to my bank. I haven't heard anything from my bank yet, but have filled out the necessary information. According to my bank, they had nothing from the law offices of James D. Brenner other than a form that said they were allowed to talk to my bank. I'm just SICK about it and I would like to get a lawyer who would take my case and sue this attorney or CCF for not providing the services they collected for. I signed a long contract with this attorney's name on it... And never received anything back from them. My bank has no records of ever talking or negotiating with anyone at CCF or James D. Brenner Law Firm. I trusted these people I talked to on the phone - I was duped... I really did trust that they cared about me and my situation. It's sad that people can do that to each other.
