I was contacted several times by a Emily Schronce, on behalf of Bankers Life & Casuality. I was told that my resume' on Monster.com was chosen because of my many years of customer service with the Huntsville Times, which made me a perfect candidate for a manager - team leader position. I asked on several occasions about doing sales calls... I do not do sales calls _ I am customer service. She said that I may have to do some sales until trained, but that the postion offered was for a manager/team leader position.
I received 3 e-mails to verify that I would be able to make my interview. I freed up my day and moved appointments to make sure that I could be there at the specified time. Upon arrival at Banker's, I was informed by Tom Smith (interviewer) that the only position hiring was telemarket sales paid by commision only. Personnally, I would love to be able to receive compensation for prep time and the actually time wasted at the interview, (since I did mention it to her very early and several times during the first phone call that I had no interest in sales and DID NOT DO SALES, and therefore knew I would not be interested at all.) If some type of compensation cannot be offered, I do know that Ms Schronce was very unprofessional, and blatantly misleading about Bankers, and I thought that you and the represented company would like this information passed to you. If you have any questions, I may be contacted at any time at 256-337-0784 or at [email protected]. Toni Worrell
