As so many others have reported, I am having serious problems with FCNB. I am trying to pay them off with a balance transfer from another credit card because I am concerned that I cannot get in touch with a real human being regarding my account, their phone number has changed, and their web site is gone. Of course, reading all these rip off reports doesn't help my peace of mind.
I made my last payment to FCNB on 6-18-03 and according to their automated system, it was actually posted to my account on 6-20-03. However, the check has never been presented to my bank for payment.
The balance transfer from my credit card company went through on 6-30-03, but as of today (7-15-03), the credit card company says the check has not been cashed. They put a stop on it as it has been 15 days and are reissuing the check.
I don't know what else to do. I can't get a human being on the phone to save my life. I'm trying to pay my bill and can't get anyone to take my money, but I bet anything that I'll get charged a late fee even though I mailed the payment in plenty of time.
All I want to do is to get them paid off and out of my life.
