Green Tree Financial Corp. Financed our home for us in 1993. I could talk to someone and get things straightened out at that time.
With in the last few years Conseco Finance took over. Payments are no longer being applied to our account as they should be.
Since November of 1998 I have been paying an additional amount towards the principal balance of our account along with the regular payment and credit life insurance amounts.
I have called, wrote letters, and even been into the office to have our account corrected and our payments applied as they should have been and so far no one has corrected it.
Last month in their office, I made a payment, wrote a letter showing how the payments were supposed to be applied and asked them to review our account and correct any errors. I had it signed by one of the employees showing they had received it.
This month I went to make a payment and found out that not only have they applied our payments incorrectly but now I No Longer Have Credit Life Insurance. They had no reason nor permission to cancell it.
Yesterday I called the Insurance Company and found out that Conseco Finance sent them a letter to cancell our Credit Life due to Non-Payment.
I need help and some advice. If needed the name of an honest mobile home finance company.
