I'm not sure how they even got to me, but for the last 18 months I have been seeing Value Plus charges on my bank statement and now cannot get rid of them. My bank advised me to not use a debit card for any purchases on line and also said just plain don't use the Internet for purchases! I think that's too extreme. I find the convenience of the Internet to be a wonderful tool, but I can't get these Value Plus charges to stop. I'm going to cancel my debit card and have the bank issue a new one so that no one will have this number. I normally don't use the debit card for purchases on line. I use a credit card. But after reading the complaints by others, I'm thinking I probably got duped just like them. Somehow these people get your credit card info. Are some companies selling it to them? How to they get it if we're not giving it out? Insidious, that's what it is. And when you add up $15 or $20 each month to each one of us and who knows how many others, that could be a fortune for someone. That's grand larceny and they need to be caught. Can anyone say, Class Action?
