Steve Gurnee is the "president" of HCR Bancorp and is not to be trusted. He is suppose to be an angel investor, but is in fact nothing more than hot air and a place to lose money and gain extreme frustration. He begins by promising that his company will fund the endeavor, even providing seemingly sound practices. However, it very soon changes to blaming his investor group for not being interested or able to find someone willing to fund your endeavor. That is IF you are able to get in touch with him. He uses an answering service to screen all calls and does not return calls; often blaming the answering service for not giving him the messages. He does not return emails. Faxes that are sent to him mysteriously disappear and he requests additional copies faxed. He is worthless as an investor and will cause you great pain and suffering. He has recently moved his office from 20 Hartford Rd, Salem, CT to the Colchester, CT location. Employees that worked with him only a short while ago are now with other companies. DO NOT TRUST Steve Gurnee or HCR Bancorp.
Mr. Gurnee you replied to one message asking why your name should be thrown around the internet in a smear while the writer hid behind a fake name. The answer is because the writer did nothing wrong in the business matter. It was you and your name and company that is deceptive and untrustworthy. The general public needs to be warned of your bad reputation because you earned that reputation yourself. Hope you're proud of what you've accomplished.
