For everyone's information.in 2003 I took a student loan out for my daughter and started paying back the loan immediately. Approximately 2 years later they increased my payments (I was already paying more than was due) and I did not know. When I was finally made aware of this problem it was instantly corrected and I again payed more than was due. Now 3 years later after the fix I'm buying a new house and realize they are reporting me as being late 5 times past 30 days and 1 time past 60 days. Keep in mind they got money from me every month. I've tried appealing to them twice, my attorney once and a credit rebuilding company once; all have failed. They say they are correct in their reporting. Let's just say for the sake of argument they are technically correct; it's just wrong to treat a borrower this way. There are many people out there that have chosen to completely ignore their their debts and not pay them back at all. I'm paying back and have always been paying back. Let's also not forget that I could have chosen not to pay this back at all until after my daughter's graduation. If anyone out there has any advise, I'm Listening!!!
