I have been a customer of Old Navy/GE Money Bank for several years. A few weeks ago, I received a notice that my credit limit had been slashed to $100 due to negative items on my credit report.
Upon receiving it, I immediately checked my credit to see what had happened. There was nothing different from the last time I had looked.
I called Old Navy/GEMB and asked why they had lowered my credit limit. Of course, the representative said she didn't know why exactly, but my credit report should tell me. I informed her that my credit report did not show any derogatory items, and demanded that the credit review department check my report again as there had obviously been an error.
The representative was incredibly quick to claim ignorance and inability to help. She outright refused to send any kind of request to the credit review department and denied that any error could have occurred.
Before this incident, I purchased all my children's clothing from Old Navy. Now, I will not shop there, and hope that anyone who reads this and/or has an even mildly poor experience with them will not shop there, either.
