A loan representative (Ann Brown) called me and said that I was approved for a personal loan in the amount of $5000. She said because of my past credit history, that I would have to send in an initial security payment totally $896.16 by moneygram to cover the first 4 months of the loan. This was all explained in the loan documents she sent to me by email.
After I sent the money by moneygram, I called her to let her know that I sent the money and gave her the reference number. She then told me that I should receive the wire transfer in a couple of days. I let a couple of days go by, but no money was transferred to my account.
I called back asking for an explanation, then she put me on hold for about a minute. When she came back on the line, she told me that the account was on temporary hold and that I would have to send in an additional amount of $795.85 for another fee that was never explained. I did not send in the additional money.
She (Ann Brown) called me about a week later asking me to call her back. I let go to voicemail. And I haven't heard from her since.
