MJ Hecker is a third-party collection agency that pretends to be a lawfirm. They put adds in the paper that read " Lawfirm seeking help" with a contact name and phone #.

Once you call someone will answer the phone lawoffice and then you will tell them you are interested in the position. Then they will ask you if you have any third party collections experience.

If you do have experience they will have you come in for a interview and hire you on the spot if they think you can make them money. They then will explain company policies and that you are will be on a 90 day probation. No tardies and no absences what so ever. NO exeptions.

Then you come in on your first day for a 4 hour training class with the lady the one of the head managers is involved with:- (. You start working 3 8-5pm shifts and 2 1030-730 shifts that are mandatory work schedules, and weekends off.

What the job intells is you calling patients that have been in major hospitals in Colorado, and that have been sent to MJ Hecker for unpaid balances on medical claims.

You are supposed to get 19% of anything $6000 or more per month that you collect. But what the company does is let you go once you start collecting money for them and then the top supervisors and managers decide who on their team gets the credit. They never keep anyone long enough for that employee to collect their 19%.

I was employed there for a very very short time and I seen people they let go that collected money and ALL that money went to the lawfirm.

I should have realized it wasnt a serious job when I learned that the manager and bookkeeper were a item (unmarried) and she was pregnant. The the 21 year old collections supervisor, is the Collection managers son. And the collections supervisor always had tabacco in his lip while working.

The establishment is very unprofessional. And unless you are family or screwing someone there, you will never make it longer that a month or two. You are only there to get that money and then they let you go, so you dont get benefits either, because that is supposed to be after 90 days (yeah right!)
