Wow. We're a small photography studio here in NH and with the economy crap haven't been doing well. I've been planning on going back to work/consulting but now my sister is with us in Home Hospice.
On top of this, I open my Advanta bill, a company I had felt comfortable with (wish I'd known about this site!) and they have jacked my interest from 20% to 36%!! 36%! Is that legal? I have not missed a payment as I set up auto pay - so what gives Advanta?
We're struggling to just pay our oil bills let alone a credit card bill that just doubled overnight.
Advanta is clearly one of the greedy greedy companies that cares little about business partners and is contributing to the current financial crisis. I called and after getting through the polite woman from India who read and re-read the 'script', was told by a supervisor that there was nothing that Advanta was going to do. I asked about the logic behind putting customers in a 'failure' situation and he replied that he believes that Advanta knows what it's doing in regards to this type of thing blah blah blah blah.
Word to the wise - do NOT do business with this company or ANY affiliates ever.
As for me - once we get our heads above water - no more business credit cards. None of these companies give a crap about us little guys.
