I have been in the unfortunate circumstance to where I had to go and borrow money from this company. I know, they have an unethical interest rate and are like parasites preying on hardworking Americans trying to come from under a mountain of debt. But, I had a loan and was then laid off. Up until that point, I had received loans on emergency basis for up to 2 years. I called and told them I was looking for a job and that I would try to make payments bi weekly from my unemployment. They agreed and were very appreciative that I called.
Lo and behold, the third week of unemployment was received in my bank account in the morning of Oct 8th, and within 10 minutes they had taken every dime I had in my account out to settle the debt. I was shocked. I had no money to buy gas to get to work or anything. They lied and filed a garnesment with my bank and cleaned me out. Not sure how that was accomplished but that was it for me. I am glad they took it because it made me realize that these people are not there to help you get through some rough times, they are here to rip you off. Seriously.
The interest rate is 300 and they have no qualms about taking it from you. They take advantage of people in bad situations. You heard the phrase "Kick you when you're down""? Bingo.
A few states have outlawed these businesses as a majority of military personel would use them in between montly pay checks. We have to completely shut these places down and let their owners try to contemplate another scam they can try to use or, lord forbid, actually get a decent job and contribute something to society other than ripping people off.
Please contact your State's Better Business Bereau to start the complaint process to get this trash store and others like it, out of the state.
