I interviewed with Countrywide Debt Solutions for a working position. One of the owners asked me about loan modification. I mentioned that i had 8-9 years experience with mortgages and that I know a little about it. He asked me to become his partner in a loan modification business. It seemed to be a great opportunity.
I was told that we have an attorney that would do all of the negotiations for the clients and all I would have to do is build a marketing team to enroll clients. After a few weeks the true side of my so called "partner" emerged.
There was no Attorney, he was pulling funds from peoples accounts without authorization, knowing that nothing was to be done for them. I was told not to use my real name because no one there went by their real names. They would enroll clients into debt settlement by lying to them by making up false settlement letters from different creditors, to entice clients. The entire operation is a SCAM. I immediately decided that I wanted no part of this. I resiged and left them.
It turns out that this shady peice of work removed his name from the state registration for business and left my name on there soley, he then proceeded to withdraw funds from peoples accounts without authorization and now these poor people are looking for a refund from me. I am filing complaints with the attorney general of Florida and hope that something gets done about this guy before he hurts more people that are already hurting. But in the mean time beware.
