Contacted Homecommings in August stating that we would have a problem with payments soon because of a failed business. They stated that I did not appear to need help because I was not behind in my mtg. I assured them that I would not be able to make the payments very soon as I was not making enough to continue. I gave them financial documents and did not hear from them again.
I called two months later to ask why I did not hear back from my request, they stated that I did not qualify and they were under no obligation to tell me so. I was at that time behind by 3 weeks, so I asked for help again froviding financials. They only offered to increase my payments until I was caught up.
In january I fell a full month behind. I again pleaded with them for help - even asking for a loan modification. Gave them financials once again. No help offered.
At that time I put the house on the market. I fell two months behind and asked for help. No responce. I finally had a buyer. The realtor and myself were in constant contact with homecommings along with the Title company.
We were set to close on May 4th. Homecommings provided the closing doccuments to the Title Company but did not give payoff amounts needed to close on the 4th. One problem was Homecommings claims an early payoff fee that we already cleared up as not applicable according to my contract. (over 2 years since start of mtg payments) this delayed closing for one week.
On May 7th they filed Forclosure Doccuments against us even though our closing was finalized on the 9th.
They are reporting Forclosure Started with the Credit Reporting Agencies which will not allow us to purchase a home at a reasonable price. They cost us our home and now they are keeping us from the American Dream. Ked them to retract the credit report and they refused. We feel that they rushed to forclose before we could close. We are renters now and have paid the price through higher tax liabilities. We owe $4000 for last year.
