I was contacted this morning by Kevin Johnson from US Legal Investigation Bureau. I was told that I had criminal and fraud charges filed against me and I needed to contact him back.
Well, of course I tried to call him back since he told me my entire social security number in the message. I also called the social security office for a seperate reason and also asked about the call I got. She asvised me to contact my local police department.
I called my local police department and they advised me that it sounded like a scam. All the while I'm on my cell phone (which is where I got the call) trying to get ahold of Mr. Johnson.
Please, if you are contacted by a man with a thick arabic accent telling you that you have some kinds of criminal charges don't listen to him and call your local police department. I'm really glad that I did not speak with this person or the situation might be worse.
